Jaws

We have watched Jaws lately in english and we have learned how to write a review in blog form. We are studying Transactional Writing, in my opinion this movie is okay but I have seen better. The film was directed by one of the most famous directors Steven Spielberg he has directed a lot of good movies like Saving Private Ryan, War Of The Worlds, and many more the list goes on, Steven Spielberg has won a lot of BAFTA'S and awards for directing, the music was created by John Williams. Jaws the movie was based on a novel by Peter Benchley. This film was set int the east coast of America, at the start of the movie it has a very shocking opening I think this is trying to draw the audiences attention, I think this movie is aimed at men becasue it has a lot of blood and gore in and women don't really like blood and stuff like that.

I think the film is very eye catching because it makes you want to watch more at every point because they think they have caught the shark but they did'nt they just caught one like it. the acting in this movie is great they all play there part really well the main character is a cheif of police department and he knows there is a shark in the water and he wants to close the beach but the mayor won't let him, the actor who plays Brody is Roy Scheider he was born in Orange New Jersey, USA 10th November,1932 but unfortunatley he died on February 10th 2008.The music fits in really well because it builds suspense and he draws the audience closer, I like the way they have used the music because it made me really interested in the film and it made me want to watch more. The sets in the film are great, they look so realistic and the acting is really good as well because they don't act like total fools like in some films.
